Cleaning the Washer Tub

Regularly cleaning your LG top load washing machine prevents unwanted buildup and ensures your clothes come out refreshed every time. Cleaning the tub on a monthly basis using the Tub Clean feature minimizes odors, detergent residue, and maximizes machine efficiency. To clean the washer tub:

Press the Power button.
Select the Tub Clean cycle using the Cycle button.

After cleaning, the washer will drain the water and spin the drum at high speed to remove any remaining residue, leaving the drum clean and dry.

Cleaning the Washer Tub with Vinegar

Vinegar can be an effective cleaning agent for removing mineral deposits and odor. Pour one cup of white distilled vinegar into the washer and run an empty wash at the highest temperature (203°F / 95°C). Wipe the inside and outside of the drum with a damp towel and leave the door open to air dry completely.
